But I am talking about Dancehall Reggae, not Roots Reggae?
Lady Saw has been out for more than 10 years and is still killing the other female DJs, like Tanya Stephens and Ce'cile, who is trying to be like her. Even alot of these hip hop artists were trying to emulate her. Before there was a Lil' Kim and Foxy, there was a Lady Saw. Before there was a Lil' Kim and Foxy, there was a Lady Saw. well I guess Lady Saw would be the popular choice...don't get me wrong I like her and she is the only one who has been consistant in putting out music...sure comparing Sister Nancy & Shelly Thunder to Lady Saw is like comparing Lil'Kim to Queen Latifah or Roxanne Shante for that matter...they were still DJ's and gotta give props to the founding Mumas..
