I think y'all covered all the greats.I might add psycho les and juju from the beatnuts.Yes,part of their history is as a trio, but they have also recorded a lot as a duo and master production team. Another VERY part-time duo was gza and odb. Also, very cleverly,Slick Rick rhymed with himself much like Marvin duetted with himself on some songs. And then you can't forget Cypress Hill.Oh,and Whodini!!Although, one half of that duo far outclassed the other half.

Since we're talking about the Wu, let's not forget the heart of the group:

Ghost and Rae got the best product on the block. Hell, Tony Starks is the Mingus of hip-hop.

Run-DMC or Chuck & Flav were the best.
But I am going to throw Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Hyde out there even though they were not the best. Just wanted to mention them.

I'd have to go with the rap duo that had the good beats and were more like a lyrical tag-team and not just two guys rapping on the same song (Outkast) or a rapper and his funny side-kick (P.E.) and that would be EPMD. Run-DMC and Whodini (had to bring them up wink )gets props as pioneers but their style was prehistoric and they can't be considered the best-- no fault of their own. Of course Eric B. and Rakim doesn't qualify although I could argue that if Rakim is good enough for 21 emcees we could count him as two.

A close second for me was A Tribe Called Quest. Again, though, they weren't the team that EPMD was. Like Outkast they were more like two guys rapping on the same song. I liked Nice and Smooth too but they aren't quite on that level. Mobb Deep was cool too.

Outkast gets the nod over the Tribe as the most creative rap duo. Slick Rick and Dougie Fresh were never really a duo from what I recall although they should have been-- they would get serious consideration if they were. That's all that comes to mind at the moment.
