Prince lip-synched on Solid Gold too. I just watched that performance on tape and I loved it that he lip-synched. He had just finished up the 1999 tour and if he wanted to lip-synch he could. I don't care about Prince lip-synching on a tv show performance like American Bandstand, Solid Gold. The main thing was he has always kept it live on his shows, concerts. That's all that matters. That is what you are paying a ticket too. Not Solid Gold. If anyone did pay tickets, I'm sure the price didn't compare to a concert ticket. Getting back to the Britney thing. I was kinda surprised that when Prince hit it big again last year with Musicology that he and Britney didn't cross paths. Not to do music, but to take a picture or they would be at the same function. I am not a Britney fan, what I am getting at is Alicia Keys, Beyonce and some other young female artist have praised or collaborated with Prince. Britney had said on "On Air with Ryan Secrest" that Kiss was one her favorite songs and this was right after the Grammys last year. Just kinda surprised, cuz I do believe that if Britney was out doing Prince's naughty days, you know he woulda hit that. She was exactly his type. | |

Has music become a "pop" contest? Prince is truly in a class with the greats like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, Patty Labelle. These artist are extremely talanted musically. They are not models portraying music artist. They are not thugs glorifying their crimes. They would never resort to "lip-syncing" regardless how complex the dance moves are. Don't get me wrong, I believe in the first ammendment, along with the rights of all orgers to express themselves. I just don't believe that many orgers truly appreciate just how talented Prince is. How could you listen to Prince and appreciate it and then listen to Britney Spears? It's mind boggling. since Brit is posing like this:
