Well it's very UK centric. Would the US verison of this really give a crap about Kelly Osbourne? I think not.

Yes, a very big hit. Was that one produced by Barry Gibb?

I want to say yes, but I'm not that big a Streisand fan (not one at all!) to know off the top of my head.

I'm not very familar with her stuff in general. In fact, "Meet The Fockers" is the only Babs movie I've seen and it's surprisingly really funny. She's pretty wild in it. I always took her as conservative acting (with her movies, music and other things) but very liberal poltically (which is a cool way to be) but she is a freak in this movie.

I remember seeing some Bee Gees BTM and know that I think of it, he did produce an album for her in 1980 (I want to say it was called "Guilty"), so that was probably from it.

My mom likes Barbra Streisand so I know a few of her hits (I used to hear them all the time in the car during grade school) like "The Way We Were," "Memory," "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," "The Main Event" and "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" (with Donna Summer).

To clear things up:

1. "Woman In Love" was produced by Barry Gibb, and was on Guilty.

2. Guilty is the only Babs LP you should have in your collection besides the 2-disc The Essential Barbra Streisand.

She's a very good comedienne. Her best film is probably "What's Up Doc?" with Ryan O'Neal - a screwball comedy (yes, it is) from 1972 that is something of a minor classic. It is also the only time she was ever sexy, on screen or off.

If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do. You'll laugh if you like smart, dialogue-based comedy. Oh, and there's one setpiece (the climactic chase through San Francisco) that has been copied many times in different ways since. wink

I've seen it a few times, and it is funny. I actually prefer actress Barbra to singer Babs. That said, her move to Hollywood was when she really went loony tunes.

Yeah, good voice but uh, not very versatile to say the least (her attempt at disco was rather hilarious).

I'll admit to loving Siouxsie, Tori, Janet as well as a few other women that gay guys worship but Streisand is not one of them.
