Funeral by The Arcade Fire I keep hearing about this album, but I don't have it yet. It's on my list though. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Miss Jennifer Holliday was the QUEEN of that pre4mance good pick, try thr 2001 version too I LOVE the 2001 version of it. It's the only recording of the full show. An acquaintence of mine (friend of my best friend) actually directed that show and the 3 subsequent Broadway Cares fundraisers. I got to watch a bootleg of that performance, as well as home video of them rehearsing. Lillias White had some shoes to fill, but I think she did quite nicely. Heather Hedley, I thought, was pretty good as well.

at this very moment? a 3-CD comp. i made of Tina Turner's stuff, to fix the one that's been released/being released to make it chronological (and also to add a disc of sorely-needed Ike & Tina stuff).
with a very similar 3-CD Cher comp. i made close behind. [Edited 1/2/05 23:24pm] "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."
