I always thought Martika made a good pop power balled with the rather haunting "toy soldiers". I admire Eminem in directly sampling the spooky chorus. I think " like toy soldiers" is one of Eminem's best songs. It is sad, but the verses do kinda drag though.....

and I like the Eminem song, except for the sample. it seems bolted on, and doesn't really fit the vibe of the rest of the song. seems very much like an afterthought, as if there was another song that was meant to be used as the chorus, and they couldn't clear the sample, so they fell back on this one. just doesn't gel for me.

I only really liked "toy soldiers". That "if ur tarzan, i'm jane" song was cool though.....her 2nd album had some Prince tracks.

I have wondered y Prince worked with Martika and not Debbie Gibson. Debbie worked well with Lamont Dozier.....I think he'd know Debbie would turn his horny ass down. Martika looks easy.....
