I had real problems with the VH1 "documentary" on Michael Jackson

I saw it last night, about his secret childhood, and it debunked basically every myth out there about Michael Jackson. Even if only some of it was true, and I believe some of it is true, the timing of it came off as a real hack job.

This from the video conglomerate that deified the same Michael Jackson 2 decades ago. If it were true back then, and you knew it, but didn't say anything about it, when he was making you millions, then that would make you a hypocrite. Surprise surprise.

Did y'all see it? I have many an issue with MJ, but this doc was a little unseemly. Especially since they ran a commercial plugging their own biopic during the breaks.

I thought that the "documentary" was the ultimate in cheese. My son saw it a couple of days ago and he kept saying how "evil" Papa Joe was. So when I finally saw it, I was waiting to hear all the details. Yeah they kept calling Joe evil, but they never reallly said what was so evil about him. People got their asses wooped in those days. The Jackson weren't a special case in that regard. And all the stuff about the JW religion causing so much confusion. All of those kids grew up the same way, so you can't explain away Mikes eccentricities by just saying it was the JW's and Joe and a lack of a childhood. Marlon is only a couple of years older than Mike. He didn't have a childhood either and he seems to be just fine. In short, the "documentary" didn't reveal a thing. And those arm-chair psychiatrists who tried to "explain" all of his problems without ever even interviewing him. :eyeroll: It took everything in me not to throw my shoe at the damn t.v.

they tried to make it a reason how he could "possibly" committed the crime he is accused of, but I didn't read into it that way. I just thought of it as a way of fucking with him again, like they did with that awful movie they did about him when the comedian Flexx played Michael...the worst unofficial biopic i've every seen in my life...and they have the nerve to release that awful shit on dvd???

I couldn't believe it when I saw they were releasing that "biopic" on DVD. Mike should sue their asses for character assassination. lol That was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Right up there with pooty-tang.

Jamie Foxx could do MJ in a real treatment. MJ has transcended bizarre, but he does not deserve such a bad depiction of his life.

And why did the documentary repeat the lie that Emmanuel Lewis's mother ended their relationship when she found Mike trying to check them into a hotel as father and son? On his "E True Hollywood Story," Emmanuel himself said that the story was not true. He said that he and Mike just sort of lost contact as he got older and that their careers took them in differnt directions. He said that Mike never did an improper thing to him. Why didn't VH1 tell that? Why didn't they interview all of the child stars who kicked it with Mike such as Corey Feldman and Wade Robeson who said that Mike never did anything improper to them? They weren't fair to Mike at all.

I already knew what was coming, so for anybody wanting to learn about KOP, avoid this program like the plague. If they wanted to discuss Michael's childhood, then they should have dug deeper, and interviewed people WHO KNEW HIM PERSONALLY as a kid, like Gladys Knight, Berry Gordy or any of his children, Don Cornelius, Lionel Richie or any members of the Commodores, Suzanne DePasse, etc.

For the record, that JR Taraborili (I can't spell his name), is a phony. He knows Michael Jackson just like I know 50 Cent. Meaning I only met 50 Cent twice working at IGA, but it doesn't mean I know him personally enough to talk about what he's like as a person. Also, that Carole Liberman lady, and that bitch Diane Dimond, they never even met Michael Jackson, yet they're experts on the man and his "mind".

But NamePeace is correct. VH1/MTV has some nerve for not only trying to shit on this man's name when 20 years ago, when VH1 developed, they were pumpin Jackson videos like there was no tomorrow, and praising him in that "King of Music Video" doc. filmed not to long ago. Hypocrisy at its worst.

As I said before You cannot judge an entire faith by the actions of one person or on family. And with this documentary they tried to pin Mj's current status on two things his Dad and his mom's faith. No one was really interviewed that knows him well. Even the Psychs. I'm sure Mike has had some couch time why not interview some of those doctors or people that know him on that level to explain. Instead of getting the view of an Ex-Witness(whose main objective was to be negative) why not interview Rebbie (her husband or kids) or George Benson or someone who was in MJ's congregation back in the day? Sure his Dad beat him and I'm sure it had a big effect but THere is a difference between spanked and beaten. Most kids have gotten a spanking from time to time and I dont know Joe Jackson he looks mean but I've never hear any of the others claim they were beat up.(except LaToya and shes a whole other story). And if MJ is so hurt he didnt have a normal childhood no birthdays and x-mas, why doesnt he hate his mom? But you also have to realize that negativity and propaganda sells. It wouldnt be intresting if there wasnt all this negativetalk.

SURE!

Apparently, the co-author of the book, Tonia Ryan said in a statement, "Here is another woman from Michael's past that people think he was romantically involved with or at least had some kind of sexual relationship with when he never did.

"Every other red-blooded male in America was after her (Eddie Murphy, PRINCE, Robert De Niro, Matt Le Blanc, etc) but Michael did not even go on a date with her. You do the math!"

That is not "proof" that Michael Jackson did anything wrong. 2 this day, Emmanuel Lewis denies anything sexual happening between them. Michael & Brooke were dating on and off before and after the Grammy Awards.Next time, try doing a little research b4 making such an uninformed opinion.

That documentary was nothing more than a blanket attempt at portraying Michael Jackson as a sexually-oppressed, religious freak who preys on children.
Those "psychologists" even admitted 2 never meeting Michael, so how can they even begin 2 "psychoanalyze" him?

I don't think Mike is innocent but he has not been convicted of anything yet.
It is called innocent until proven gulity. The media has already decided that Mike is gulity and this program was a hack job.

I think all black people are tried of this "the children were beaten" we all got spankings growing up. There is a difference between a spanking and a beating and maybe if parents go back to disciplning their children we would not have some of the problems we have today.

Lately, it appears that the media is out to attack anybody who is black and rich. It can be atheletes or other celebrities.

It is out of control and player hating the likes of which I have never seen.

The damn VH1 "biopic" sucked IMO and I prefer the original one from about 12 years ago I believe it was called "The Jacksons:An American Dream".That was a good movie compared to the Flexx Alexander version.Angela Basset played Katherines part and all

I thought they did a good job showing what could possibly be behind Michael's desire to be around young boys all the time and act the way he does. Some of the professionals they talked with seemed very credible to me.

nod Exactly. More or less, it seemed MTV Networks wanted to pour more salt into MJ wounds. Enough is Enough. I mean damn. We already know that he is a sick fuck for always wanting to be around these damn kids but they don't have to run him and his family into to the ground about it. Hell, Fox Network, CNN, and Court TV are already doing a good job of that already.

There is no such thing as loyalty in the entertainment media. VH-1's job is not 2 be "fair" 2 Michael Jackson, it's 2 gain higher numbers and more viewers. His case is hot at the moment and they know people will watch. The naysayers will look at the documentary as "Proof" and the fans will watch-dog it so they can deny everything. In any event, it's all about the bottom line numbers.
