How about Wolfsheim's "Once In A Lifetime"? God, I just remembered one of their other tracks that used to get played a lot a few years ago, "I Don't Love You Anymore." I always had a frown on my face when dancing to that one. [Edited 1/3/05 9:38am]

How about Wolfsheim's "Once In A Lifetime"? That's "synthpop", really. From what I can remember it's not the worst song in the world though.

meltwithu said: my favorite is Typical Reasons (Swing My Way) by Prince Markie Dee and the Soul Convention...i love jamming to this song, but feel guilty since it's about spousal abuse. Even in the video, the girl gets killed by her boyfriend at the end, if i remember correctly.
I love this song. The whole album was nice. He had Billy Lawrence singing on the track "Trippin Out" which I loved too. Alot of people don't realize that he does production work for alot of artists. I believe he produced "Real Love" for Mary J. Blige (I have to pull out my CD and look at the credits again but I'm almost sure). Not bad for a former "Fat Boy" . Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight

someone said "together again" and, while i can see how it can be viewed as depressing, i've always thought the song to be extremely celebratory. anyway...some songs that come to my mind (though not necessarily "dance" songs but certainly upbeat):
what's the matter here - 10k maniacs my name is luca - suzanne vega pearls (dance remix) - sade young americans - david bowie (yeah, i really do think this song is depressing)

Club-footed? I would think anyone with a club foot would have a hard time dancing, lol. I know what you really meant. For the record, "Tragedy" by the Bee Gees went to #22 on Billboard's U.S dance chart back in 1979 so a few people were dancing to it. I never knew that. Thanks for the info.
