COMEBACKS GALORE IN 2004!

There have been more comeback this year than any other year in music, I think. A lot of old school artists decided to get back in the game and release music or just tour. Here's who came back:

Prince
The Pixies
George Michael
U2
Morrissey
The Cure
Fleetwood Mac
Mötley Crüe
The Fugees
Green Day
Duran Duran
Ray Charles
Anita Baker
Beastie Boys
Tears For Fears
Earth Wind & Fire
LaToya Jackson
Queensryche
Cake
Mission of Burma
Ma$e
Loretta Lynn
David Byrne
Lenny Kravitz
The Psychedelic Furs
Jill Scott
The Stray Cats
Stephanie Mills
Morris Day
De La Soul
Mavis Staples
New Edition
The Smithereens
En Vogue
Devo
Teena Marie
Destiny's Child
Bow Wow Wow
Siouxsie & the Creatures
Camper Van Beethoven

And then more bands decided to reunite by way of VH1's "Bands Reunited":

A Flock of Seagulls
Romeo Void
Scandal
The English Beat
Klymaxx
Haircut 100
ABC
Berlin
Vixen
The Alarm
Dramarama
The Motels

And we have more coming soon:

Pylon
Creem
The Who
The B-52's
INXS
Van Halen
The Specials
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Bobby Brown
Gang of Four
Jamiroquai
Pop Will Eat Itself

Okay.... How many people actually admitted they were making a comeback? You know how indignant some artists when that term is used.

Yeah lol but they have a right to vent about it,,,its not their fault that the industry folks are ignorant about their activities.

For all we know, you can bust yo ass for 20 years and finally breakthrough in the 21st year and thats where they'll say that its yo DEBUT. Like how alot of people thought that Tina Turner's "Private Dancer" was her 1st album and that she's a new middle-aged singer lol

Good call! I think about this when Prince snickers at the media when they talk about his comeback. It's like his attitude is, "Where you cats been. I'm always making music, touring, putting out albums...." But, I guess those folks only think about the next big thing: the Britneys, the Ushers, the Beyonces....

Everyone has had a VH1 special and she did a promo for that album last year...excuse me, two years ago, on Access Hollywood, with the promise of it coming out in the summmer of 2003. I don't think that album will ever come out.

i think Tina would probably be glad if that was her debut album. sure beats the pants off the solo albums she recorded prior to it lol

just because someone put something out in 2004 doesn't mean it was a comeback. a "comeback" would imply that the new material had some success.

woot! I actually missed when VH1 did the English Beat on Bands Reunited pout Out of all of the ones listed though.....the Specials are the ones I really wanna see get back together. I'm not too excited about INXS...I don't I'll ever be, with no Michael.
