lionel richie how good is he on piano/keyboards? im a big fan of the commodores and one thing always wondered me.
lionel richie played keys and saxophone and lead vocals in commodores.commodores music have very nice music lines that r pretty interesting 2 ppl who r musians. but latter music by lionel isnt musicly intersted its more of simple lines aor music. i heard lionel richies song climbing in whic his piano playing is extraordinary, very musician oriented with a slices of sebastian b. musical harmonies. but he rarley shows his musical knoladge on his solo records. so my question is how good lionel is on piano/keyboards?anybody ever seen him live?does he plays piano solos is he good, extraordinary or just average?

i saw lionel last night at a children benefit and it was honnestly pathetic. his band was average, his voice was not what it used to be. he did go solo on the piano for 2 songs and that was the only good part. in all honnesty, the acoustic was so bad that it didn't do him justice either. he finished w/ brick house and all night long, rosie o'donnel was w/ him at one point.

8) I saw Lionel Richie years ago at Madison Square Garden. That was his Dancing On The Ceiling days. Shelia E. was the opener. I thought the show was not bad. He is still trying for a come back. Someone should tell him is "OVER".
