Green Day - American Idiot (I actually dig this album)

I've never been a huge Green Day fan.
I was part of the Bad Religion/Social Distortion generation. Like some Dead Ken. as well.

But Green Day I always thought where to poppy for me.
However, I bought their latest album, American Idiot, and despite the fact that it's essentially still a pop album, it's not nearly as revolting as Blink182 or Good Charlette.

I was surprised that it was a solid album from start to finish.
Lots of energy and good production work.

Ur thoughts?

Blink182 are not revolting.....if you think so, then you don't get them! Just don't take them too seriously!

I LOVE it! It's definitely the best album of the year. The suites are cool.

What I didn't like were all the Green Day lites that came out in their wake that sound like each other (Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte).

Thats sorta what I meant earlier. everyone copies them, so everyone in a year or 2 will hate it and call it crap and forget that the original few were actually alright albums!
