I sure as hell wouldn't. The fucking nerve of Ryan Starr to say on "The Surreal Life" that she's a rock singer first, and that singing pop songs would be considered selling out. She was on fucking American Idol for crying out loud!!!!

American Idol (or "Pop Idol" in Britain) is the ultimate sell-out gig. If you're lucky enough to win that that competition, then they basically own yo ass and your music career.

That's why I said to myself that if I want to be successful in music, it will be on my terms and no one elses. And most certainly not from the likes of Simon Cowell or Paula Abdul.

If I were interested in a career in musical theatre, I might. But I'm not. So I wouldn't.

Yeah, that's where a lot of them contestants ended up anyway.
