Would you audition for American/Pop Idol? I sure as hell wouldn't. The fucking nerve of Ryan Starr to say on "The Surreal Life" that she's a rock singer first, and that singing pop songs would be considered selling out. She was on fucking American Idol for crying out loud!!!!
American Idol (or "Pop Idol" in Britain) is the ultimate sell-out gig. If you're lucky enough to win that that competition, then they basically own yo ass and your music career. That's why I said to myself that if I want to be successful in music, it will be on my terms and no one elses. And most certainly not from the likes of Simon Cowell or Paula Abdul. If I were interested in a career in musical theatre, I might. But I'm not. So I wouldn't.

My voice sucks too. I sing like richard marx crossed with Joey Lawrence and jeremy Jordan. Throw in a bit of Glenn Medeiros too.

If I wanted to ruin my chances at a successful and respectable music career I would. But I'd probably try out for the Real World first.

Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

What season or year did you audition in and how was it for you? I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

First Season it was good but you have to sign a million contracts

Also, I forgot to mention that if you're not a talented singer, and the judges will make that clear to you, it will likely be broadcasted on TV. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

ABeautifulOne, I fear you've become the butt of the joke this time, because you're part of a generation brought up on internet grammar. The word "nothing" was capitalized because it was at the start of a sentence. Still...the thought of Judy Garland singing a song called Nothing is a funny one.

If it was the latter part of her career I envision her just occasionally groaning "nothing" over an orchestra with time for the occasional pill-popping.
