His music is predictable, very homogenic in its sound. It's also very recognizable, but in a "that again?" kinda way. Therefore, Crunk also = Insanely formulaic musical fad that will be gone faster than you can say "Hammer pants".

Crunk is a number of things...But its mostly an attitude.
Crunk is a type of hip hop like moshing is to punk rock where its very crazy and upbeat. People are in the club jumping and throwing bows (elbows, that is.) Crunk can also mean being drunk, as EWM mentioned. "It's not what they call you, it's what you respond to." - Mabel "Madea" Simmons

Well I live in the crunk capital of the world Atlanta(idunno if thats something to be proud of or not). Crunk is alot like the late 80's 2 live crew call and response records ie "Its your birthday, its you birth day". They don't always sing or always rap. some songs are just Chanting for example his first bigg record down here was "who you wit"(1996). it was a 3min. chorus. and the lyrics were basically "Who you wit, who you wit, who you wit get crunk who you wit, to the flo, to the flo, to the flo, Let's Go." It confused the heck outta me like "is this a song or what?" He along with Janet's boyfriend Jermaine Dupri used to do these So So def Bass Compilations you might remember such one hit R&B wonders like Ghost Town DJ's "my boo" and Corina "summer time" even ricky Bell from New edition redid a BBD song in a double time club beat. Thats Basically it. oKAAAAAKKKK! "Thinking like the Keys on Prince's piano, we'll be just fine"

That word has been around for years and people are just now catching hold of it.
