"Long Way To Go" - Andre feat...I MEAN Gwen feat. Andre3000 Damn this soung is tripped out! One of the best things I have heard this year. Although Andre drowns out Gwen (and she just sounds like a faint background singer), this is a fabulous track with a serious message about how people feel about intterracial dating. Great production, damn I wish I produced this track! We got a long way 2 go When snow hits the asphault Cold looks and bad talk come We got a long way 2 go Its the un-Martin Luther Upgrade computer [Edited 12/29/04 18:00pm] Straight Jacket Funk Affair

This is one of the songs I skip on this album Something about the metaphors. He's trying too hard. I do love the other track he produced on there.

And it fits on the album, a lot of people say it takes away from the album's "party vibe" or whatever, but I think it's a message that Gwen's listenership needs to hear and I applaud her for touching on racial topics. When Martin Luther King Day comes around in January, this will be at the top of my list MLK weekend.

When Martin Luther King Day comes around in January, this will be at the top of my list MLK weekend. IM GLAD it take away from the party vibe otherwise it wouldve been a lifeless soul-less album. Though much of it was, this song makes me THINK. It touches something and the musicianship does too. Im glad I got something to wander about after it was over, that made me want to rewind the whole CD again. If it ended with Danger Zone, I wouldve been highly upset (though musch of it is jammin, but I wouldve felt that it didnt have any longevity). Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I think part of the reason I don't like Long Way to Go so much is because it sounds too much like Millionaire, the track he did from Kelis' album Tasty. That one I love!

i like this song, but i don't like it on gwen's album, and i especially don't like it as the closing song. it would have been perfect on "love below", but i think it clashes terribly with the rest of LAMB.

That's what I said the 3rd go round Sound like it was a left-off of Love Below though I agree with yall. Gwen fades out in this track. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

"Millionaire" was a hell of a lot better, and would have been a better fit for Gwen's record than this. This does sound like The Love Below.

Love this track-the whole album is just mindless fun.
It's not the best of anything by any means, but cool stuff.

Nothing but an Annie Christian rip-off, actually. We Can Funk

There are so many better anti-racism songs out there, this one gets burried.
And how many times had Martin Luther's speech been used in a song?

I see I'm not the only one who gets that Annie Christian vibe off that song. I dig the song quite a bit but I understand what the people here are saying when they say that it messes with the flow. It doesn't bother me any. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

The subject matter is not related 2 Annie Christian, the music is not like it (morte like "Pink & Blue" from love Below). I don't or have thought of Annie Christian at all. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Apparently, there are several songs that didn't make the final cut. Here's an early tracklist... "What You Waiting For" "Long Way To Go" featuring Andre 3000 "Parental Advisory" "Crash" "Listen Closely" featuring Missy Elliot "Lonely Business" featuring Duran Duran "Serious" "Criminal" "Haven" featuring Mary J.Blige "Just Fine" "Bubble Bop Electric" featuring Andre 3000 "Wonderful Life For Him" "That's The Way" featuring Pharrel Williams "What You Waiting For" (alternate take) I bet you're hoping that those "lost" songs begin circulating soon, huh?
