What is a "Essential" Jimmy and Terry Collection??

I am thinkin about updating my old-dumb Jimmy & Terry CD (it focused 2 much on the 80's).

What are some must haves from 1984 - 2004 (biggest hits)? Hasnt it been at least 20 22 years now?

off top o my head:
Tender Love - Force MD's
Sensitivity - Ralph Tresvant
Save The Overtime 4 Me - Gladys Knight
Fishnet - Morris Day
U Remind Me - Usher
Best Things In Life R Free - Janet & Luther
Human - Human League
Saturday love - Alex & Cherelle

I dunno, If I really went out it would spread to almost 4 CD's lol.

Inputs? There is so much.. sad

In my opinion, any Janet!

"On Bended Knee", Boyz II Men
"4 Seasons of Loneliness", Boyz II Men
"I Didn't Mean to Turn You On", Mariah Carey
"U Remind Me", Usher
"Up & Down", Deborah Cox
"Free", Mya
"I Wish I Wasn't", Heather Headley

Leaving out the obvious Janet and Time stuff:

I Didn't Mean to Turn You On - Cherrelle
Weekend Girl, The Finest, Just Be Good to Me, Tell Me If You Still Care, No One's Gonna Love You, Even When You Sleep - SOS Band (they did a lot of good tracks with them!)
Never Knew Love Like This, Hearsay - Alexander O'Neal
The Heat of Heat - Patti Austin
If It Isn't Love - New Edition
Human - Human League (my personal Jam/Lewis fave)

FYI - you can actually search www.flytetyme.com for tracks they've produced over the years.

Just saw that you already had Human smile

There's also:

When You Talk About Love by Pattie LaBelle
Rub You the Right Way - Johnny Gill
Lock and Key - Klymaxx

If I'm not mistaken, I think they also did some key tracks with Cheryl Lynn. Then there's Mint Condition, whom they didn't produce (I don't think so anyway), but they had a lot of direction in their work.

Do yourself a favor and find this 4CD publishing promo called Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis The Hit Songs:

They pop up on ebay from time to time and you can get it rather cheap if no one is looking lurking

id like to also mention the first half of Cherelles "Affair"....

damn damn damn the momentum that album builds is awesome..each song builds on the other....and then the second half gets all slow-song sappy.. confused

As you can see it stops at the year 1995. But I think it compiles their best work nod

I see that nod I understand why they have so much Janet songs on there too.

I may have to do an update of that CD...since I have most of those songs..but to have them all already compiled is cool. I may just do an mp3 disc and listen to it on my DVD or CD Payer..

I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that Jam and Lewis worked on the "Fighting Temptations" soundtrack and Eddie Levert mentioned on a radio show that they worked on their current release.

Unless they are uncredited, I don't think Jam & Lewis had anything to do with "Meeting In The Ladies Room" or "Save The Overtime For Me".

You might be thinking of Gladys Knight & The Pips' "When You're Far Away" which they wrote, but did not produce.

It has him dancing on a stage with 3 black girls, and with a big jacket and hat, with a big headlight shining on him from a car..in the rain I think.

My favorite Alex Video is either Criticize (the model girls playing the instruments and dancing all chic), or Innocent (Alex and Cherelle in the Mickeys Diner bar, and he is trying to hit on her in front of her friends...she then slaps him and goes off in2 the bathroom..when he daydreams about them being together in the mirror).
Fake has him in a club on stage in black and white.
If Your Were Here Tonight has his in a looming marble like hall way with a mostly sepia background.
Saturday Love has him and Cherelle on stage looks like a show (which looks like its from a Soul Train take or something...)

"Lock And Key" is the only track on Klymaxx's 'Meeting In The Ladies Room' LP produced by Jam & Lewis.
