Seventies Soul Songstresses: List/post pics of your favs here

I saw a Roberta Flack pic on Harlepolis' thread and thought about how many great female soul singers who had success in the 1970's. Here are a few:

Chaka Khan
Minnie Ripperton
Roberta Flack
Patrice Rushen
Dionne Warwick

Fill in the many blanks I left here . . .

I don't worry what tommorow may bring, as long as I live today 4 my King,
Since I made Jesus lord of my heart, my worries are few,
Yes, he's with me everywhere that I gold,
His sweet love is moe precious go,
Oh, the grestest thing that could happen for me and you.

Oh, I sure do get all excited about the love of Jesus
The love of Jesus!
He's coming again, He's coming Agaaaaain!!!!

My favorites:

Deniece Williams
Minnie Riperton
Diana Ross
Aretha Franklin
Roberta Flack
Chaka Khan

Namepeace, you listed Dionne Warwick, and I'm a big fan of hers. However, I think her best work was in the 60s. Her 70s stuff was okay, but nothing can top her work with Bacharach/David.

It was a joke because she's so retro.

I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

That album was made in 1983 but I understand how you could confuse it for a seventies album. It's just timeless, really.
