Something's bothering me...I've had the compliation 20 ALL-TIME GREATEST HITS by James Brown for years.I finally realized I'm NOT satisfied with hearing edited (as in "Pt.1")versions of songs like Cold Sweat,Make it Funky,Hot Pants,and Mother Popcorn(which fades out as Maceo is playing his solo,can you believe that).So I thought I could go to a record store and find ALL his songs on CDS,in FULL LENGTH versions.
Stupid me, all I seem to find are more compliations with more of this PT.1 bullshit,and live CDS.
Why won't Alan Leeds,yes,that Alan Leeds(who seems to have a hand in most of these compliations)put the WHOLE versions of these songs on these things or reissue the original albums on CDS that have these songs?
And I don't have a record player,so its not like I can buy LPS.
Everyone once in a while,I'll hear Cold Sweat in its entirety on the radio,but NEVER have I heard Mother Popcorn or Make It Funky,or Hot Pants in their entirety.
Damn,can a sista hear Mother Popcorn all the way through before she dies?

I feel the same way. But a person can't expect to buy 1 cd of hits and have full-length versions ever.

Ante-up the $50 and get all 7:30 of it...
