I saw a Finnish double bill of Nightwish and Lullacry back in Sepetember. That was a good show. I'm only familar with Cradle of Filth and Type O Negative, the rest of those bands aren't even on my radar. And damn, you can get darker than Venom? FUCK! Lacuna Coil are from Italy and like I said, both Nightwish and Lullacry are from Finland. All three have female vocalists which I think is a cool novelty. When I say darker, I mean the bands that have the most goth appeal. There are tons of black metal bands out there that I haven't heard, but Cradle Of Filth seem to play up the goth image the most. I also really liked the last Dimmu Borgir album, 'Death Cult Armageddon.' A few years back, Carl McCoy from Fields Of The Nephilim released a solo album under the name The Nefilim called 'Zoon' that was pure metal. It was great, but a lot of his old goth fans hated it. geographical edit. [Edited 12/30/04 7:38am]

You know there's not enough women fronting doom, death, black and goth metal bands.
