"Honey"(Ohio Players) Appreciation Thread IMO, the Ohio Players best album(with that awesome cover). Brings back high school memories every time I listen to it. 'Fopp' is my favorite.

Fopp is my favorite song from my all-time favorite band, and Honey the album where they peaked. If you've got funk, you've got style.

As I understand it Ohio Players must have been really
big in the states around '74-'75,with their albums "Fire","Skin tight" & "Honey". I was wondering if anybody in here saw them live during this period of time & what that was like.It must have been awsome! /peace Manki

One time, in 1978, they played the Roxy on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, which is 5-seat capacity. My friends and I were in the front row for the first of two shows that night. We never left following the show and somehow we were not kicked out ... so we got to do it all over again. It was funny because the band recognized us and was wondering what was up. It was an unforgettable night! Peace, Scott If you've got funk, you've got style.
