Aerosmith did some songs that r cornier then Michael Bolton. They ain't shit most of the time.
The Who got a lock down before Keith moon died. Pete the peodophile.....fucking deserved more then sex offender register 4 his crime. Queen got some hoyt songs. i dig their later stuff more. "innuendo" is a good album. "the miricle" is not "a kind of magic" gets props becasue of "highlander" and the cool samples it used in "gimme the prize"

Queen has to be the most under-rated band of all time. Freddie's voice was one of the greatest in rock history, and their songs had a unique sound that I've never heard duplicated. Oh, and harmonies? I've NEVER heard a band with better harmonies. Freddie was an incredible frontman. A true showman through and through. Brian May does not get the props he deserves for his playing. They've made an impact on music the likes of which is only topped by groups like The Beatles, The Stones, The Doors and Led Zepplin.
As for The Who, I'm not really a fan. I must, however, acknowledge their contribution to rock & roll. They are an incredibly important group, and paved the way for metal & punk in many ways. Aerosmith gets a bad rep these days (mainly due to crappy ballads like the one from Armeggedon. Really, there should be a law against Diane Warren), but to ignore their place in music is just foolish. They created some great tunes in the 70s, and really deserve respect for this alone. They are also, to this day, an incredible live band. Tyler still can get up on stage and rock out, and the audiences eat it up. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

I actually think that Freddie's singing is overrated! I hate the way he can't quite do a clean vibrato (eg. "Mamaaaa! oh oh oh") I think he's great as a rock singer, great harmonies, but his operatic style is way overrated.
Brian May is the best guitarist of all 3 groups. Not crazy about Steven Tyler's singing, but they are a better band than the 80's & 90's would indicate. I would have to agree with theAudience that all 4 elements of the Who are distinct and great. I would add that they evolved more as a band, having at least 3 distinct phases. They added more to rock music. They were one of the first hard rock bands and went on to do the first well known rock opera. None of these 3 bands are my fave, but I'll go with the Who.
