Live Aid wasn't the 1st one! Ofcourse Live Aid was awesome, but Bob Geldof wasn't the 1st artist who wanted to help through music and concerts.... george Harrison did it also back in 1971. the concert for Bangladesh, with help from Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Ravi Shankar (daddy of Norah Jones),

Check out the ticket prices - $10, $7.50, $6.50, $5.50, $4.50 for George Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Leon Russell and Badfinger!!! And today you'll pay $100 dollars or more to see Usher? tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Based on some of the talent (or absence of) today, we should roll back prices to those days. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. $50 to $100 is too much to see any act, I don't care who it is.

tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm This was also album of the year in 1972, was it not? I liked the cover because, unlike a lot of these star-studded benefits, it actually highlighted the cause. [Edited 12/27/04 13:17pm]

[Edited 12/27/04 13:17pm] Sadly enough... without knowing a bad thing would happen, the issue of the record is now recent again....Too bad george isn't here anymore, or else he would have done the concert for Sri Lanka or something.... the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose

Well, in one way or another, the issue is perpetually relevant - unfortunate. Very wonderful record, though.
