GooGoo Dolls, Ani DiFranco, Rufus Rainwright in Buffalo, NY in July, it was a two day FREE concert- a gift to the city really. The weather sucked, it rained most of the time but it was an amazing experience. I'm not a big fan of their music, but the GooGoo Dolls put on a pretty good show and really care about their fans.biggrin
The last TeaParty concert was really excellent too, even better than their usual amazing show. biggrin biggrin
Also liked the10,000 Maniacs this year, Oscar, the new singer that took over for Natalie Merchant sounds a lot like her but has a totally different personality, good show. smile

Prince comes a close second but P.J Harvey in Toronto was nothing short of a religious experience.

She fucking rocked it!

Bowie, Reality show

which actually surprised me when i sat here trying to think about which show i enjoyed the most, because i saw all 3 of my favorites this year (Bowie, Prince, and Madonna) .... and it was my first Madonna show.

Mine was definitely the Cure show in Chicago. Not only did they put on a wonderful show, I had pit seats and got to reunite with some of the greatest people in the world - Endo, Carrie and Violett. And on top of that, I made some great new friends in Anxiety, TOFKA, Sassy and Denny. The whole weekend was perfect and it's one of my highlights of the year. I can't wait to do it all again.

The Prince shows were definately my favorite performance of the year.

Below that would be The Cure in Chicago- no only for the quality of that show, but for the quality of the people I saw it with.

Next down would be Interpol at First Ave (electric!), Dolly Parton (:woot) and Air.

This is a tough question. I went to 26 shows this year and the Prince/Time/Sheila E show is hard to beat (especially since I saw the whole thing from the first row). I'll go through all my ticket stubs tonight and get back to you.

i saw:
Britney Spears Mar 1st in SD opening night of the Oynx Hotel
Beyonce in Houston Mar 19th for my BDay... actully 6 days after my bday
Prince March 31st in LA... first time in the Staples center
was going to see Miss Augilera but she canceled
Madonna June 2nd in Orange County

Madonna was by far the best.

I seen Madonna and Prince this summer and they were both completely different shows.

Madonna wins though cause she's always been my fav performer and artist.
I was at the side on the top but it was easily the most inspirational thing i've seen.

I cried during "like a prayer" it was beautiful when the whole audience sang together.
July 19th in Toronto it was.

Not a person in the audience was sitting, the place SHOOK, honestly. Except the guy with his girlfriend next to me, but he wasn't gay enough and was having a hangover from all the beer he was drinking

During the Prince show, there were people sitting and not being inspired which kinda wrecked it since it was a great show. And the guy sitting beside me with his boyfriend was hitting on me and i got scared.....
