----- You are in hell due to the status you have given Usher(LOL). Once again a recording is a classic when people are still buying years later. Lot's of 12 years old brought those Spice Girl cd's but they are never going to be considered classics (LOL). | |

Buying an album is one thing. Just because lots of people buy something doesn't instantly make it "classic". Whether people still give a fuck about it a few years down the line is another thing, and in 2-3 years I really don't think people are going to care what Usher's doing. ----- Co-sign | |

These are good albums, but hardly classics. Heck "Confessions" practically dates itself while you're listening to it, but it's still good. 8 million good? No. But the whole Usher thing was a surprise this year. Him and Justin are about the same. Watch he comes out and does the same numbers. Pharrell won't have it any other way. | |

So Britney Spears' ...Baby One More Time and N'Sync's first two records are classics because they sold millions of copies? Hmmmmm, let me think about that for a second. NOPE! Nsync and Britney were temporary anyways it wasn't like Jive/Zomba jumped up and said that pop was gonna live forever | |

So far yes, Usher is JUST as disposable. I swear he sells records depending on the definition of his abs that week. No way to sell records. I picture him being a recluse in about 10 years once his album sales dwindle and in a depressing funk he gets lazy and fails to exercise for 5 hours a day. | |

Don't confuse him with Bobby Brown | |

----- One thing that is going to kill Usher is his attitude. When asked where he wanted to be in 10 years he said rich. I am under the impression that is already rich and constant quest for money and not one bit of concern about music is going to be dude's downfall. He is not as talented as he thinks he is. | |

If he plays his cards right he'll never have to work again, so the endless quest for even more cash is empty and redundant. His ego has always been huge but sadly it's something he can't seem to outgrow. And this from a matinee idol. | |
