I'm not, but when I saw you posted on the thread, I knew it was going to be a comment about how Tori sounds like Kate. So it's like yawn

Have you ever started a thread about that? Or are you just set on jacking each Tori thread and with that "discussion"? What purpose does it serve? I mean really, it's getting tired. Besides, it could be considered off-topic in this particular thread.

Wow! 19 tracks. This is the first release of '05 that I'm really looking forward to. Not sure if I like the cover though. Looks too candid.

This is gonna take forever. Feb 22nd. Seems an eternity now. I wanted to leave
the soundclips alone and just listen to the album without having heard anything
before release but I already yielded after 10 minutes

smile

I like the fact that I heard a pit of genuine Bosendorfer again and not JUST
the hammond organ.

The soundbist seemed a lot more melodic than most things on Scarlets Walk and
that's probably a very good thing. Self Produced album again, that's good too

Now I just gotta stop hoping for another PELE all the damn time and we'll all
be alright

I wouldn't wish Tori that kind of misery again. And I wouldn't want her to repeat herself. But I kinda know what you mean.

yeah, I wouldn't wish for her to be in that place again but the kind of songs
that came out of that period were brilliant.

it's an album that keeps changing even after all these years. there is just
so much going on.

plus, beauty queen/horses is one of the best album openings I've ever heard
up until now.

It's very impressionistic and moody. She leaves you to fill in a lot of the pieces. I like that.

So many of my favorite songs of hers are on there too. Horses, Father Lucifer, Caught a Lite Sneeze, Hey Jupiter, Little Amsterdam, Not the Red Baron, Putting the Damage On and Twinkle would all be near the top of my list. I have a feeling she'll never top that one.

here are the excerpts to the lyrics of two of the new songs:

Jamaica Inn

With the gales my little boat was tossed. How was I to know that you’d send her with a lantern to bring me in? "Are you positive this is a friend?" the captain grimaced. "Those are cliffs of rock ahead, if I’m not mistaken." The sexiest thing is trust. I wake up to find the pirates have come, tying up along your coast. How was I to know the pirates had come? Between Rebecca’s, beneath your firmaments, I have worshipped in the Jamaica Inn.

The Power of Orange Knickers

The power of orange knickers under my petty coat. The power of listening to what, you don't want me to know. Can somebody tell me now, who is this terrorist? Those girls that smile kindly, then rip your life to pieces. Can somebody tell me now, am I alone in this -- this little pill in my hand and with this secret kiss. Am I alone in this?

I found these on

Here's what Q magazine asked her about Bees:

I've noticed that you've used the word "bees" in many of your songs.
What is the significance of all these bees?

"I've always been drawn to beekeeping, the culture of honey,
the sensuality of how it is created. If I see bee-keepers, I pull over."
[Q magazine - January 2004]

giggle

that is such a typically Tori thing to say lol

hug I got excited and checked some Tori websites on my favorites list. Hereinmyhead.com is kinda on hiatus because the chick that runs the website just got married, so I went over to www.turbidblue.com and saw the downloads listed. They have lots to download over there, but you have to have 50 posts before you can download... so I guess I better get to work!

I don't mind the background, the design or even the photo of her. But it all looks silly together.
