Ultimate Christmas songlist

I was just wondering what song could make the "ultimate Christmas songlist". I am particularly intewrested in R&B and neo soul acts, although funk is also welcome. So, what are your propositions?

Donna Summer-O Holy Night

She released an awesome Christmas album, which can be found in bargin bins and while it's down mostly in a tradational manne (sorry, no disco) "O Holy Night" has a gospel choir that makes it sound like Jesus is coming back! Her vocals are amazing, too.

I've never been really impressed with her Christmas album boxed

It's too slow, too mellow, too BORING.Considering that Donna is a dance music queen, she really should have let loose on this album, have some fun,and record some exciting uptempo disco Christmas songs! It would have been an interesting concept, dontcha think?

Only R&B, soul & funk???

Rats.

There is one funky Christmas song I like: "Our First Christmas" by Alexander O'Neal. It's the only reason I still have his 'My Gift To You' CD.

Are you familar with Donna-Tribute.com and Cathy? She's like a super fan and that's her favorite album. She'd be pissed!

I didn't get into at first eihter but that song is amazing! If you have the album, give it another spin. I was also surprised that it was such a mellow album but I've heard at the time she was seriously considering doing country music (under a deal with that label, Mercury, which she also released "Endless Summer" for).
