Ce Ce Peniston was so 5 mins ago since 92
Mediocore dance act that kept on kicking through the 90's, never quite as good as her competition ie: Martha Walsh & Jocelyn Brown
and that "Finally" song is "too Karoke Drag queen"

Hotlegs

It is unfortunate that she hasn't released anything on a major label. However, I do remember her release some material on an indie label which was cool a couple years back.

She's not bad but nothing great either. I have her "20th Century Masters" and am satisfied with it and not tempted to buy anything else, even if her albums are worth getting. On the other hand, I also bought a Grace Jones "20th" and really want more now (preferably a good collection with "Slave to the Rythmn" and "I'm Not Perfect" at the very least). Interesting Cece, but not on my priority list at all.

nod yes this was THE song. "Finally" was my shyt too. "I'm in the mood", and "i ain't feelin'(or was it missing)you" were pretty good 2.

Dayum, me too!!! My stomach sank when I saw the emoticon!

This is one of my all time favorite singers and I think she's totally underrated. Her music hasn't been solid from release to release but each one of her albums has killer songs on it that showcase her talent.

One time I went to a gay festival here in LA and we walk to the first stage where someone is singing a CeCe Peniston song. I realized it was this girl that used to do Karaoke contests in the county I grew up in. I told my friends "Oh my God, I totally know that girl". They were like "yeah right". We kept on walking to get a closer spot to the stage and I realize, "Oh my god, that's CeCe Peniston!!" I couldn't see clearly from that far away and thought it was that Karaoke girl lol If you've never seen her sing live, you're missing out. Girl tore it up!

I love the following songs by Ce Ce:

Keep On Walking

I'm Movin' On

I'm In The Mood

We Got A Love Thang

My favorite tracks by her are straight R&B (not really house influenced like her hit "Finally").
Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight
Just let me rock you 'til the morning liiiiiiight
It's cold outside
And much too late to driiiiiiiive
You know I need you baby
I'm so lost without your love
