Uh huh. It just makes me wonder, rather than paying for the clearance (if it was cleared), why they couldn't have hired a real guitarist to play that. Sounds simple enough. Anyway, a couple of other cool Joe Simon tracks... Power Of Love Get Down, Get Down Why don't you get on the floor and let the good time roll I'm surprised vainandy's not all over this Joe Simon track. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. well the whole point of Premier's chopping is to say "hey, you all had that Joe Simon song and didn't think you could use it. well look how I made it fresh".

I get it. But without starting another sampling debate, other than folks who are "sick wit dis" music freaks (like folks on this and similar boards), who would even recognize that the sample came from Drowning In The Sea Of Love specifically or that it was even a Joe Simon record in general. Premier is preaching to a choir that's not very large. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I don't think I need to defend sampling

Didn't mean for you to have to defend sampling, we've already been through that. My point was that who would really recognize that he'd "made it fresh". Or more specifically what the "IT" was. That's all. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."
