I don't even think anyone here has heard of this French Neo-Soul/Alternative Rock/Pop band called Phoenix. But they released what was easily one of the best albums of 2004. But everybody slept on that one. confused

I would most definitely add:

Monk Hughes and the Outer Realm: A Tribute to Brother Weldon.

I don't know much about electronica, but this sounds like an instant classic of the genre to me.

I didn't give it much of a chance since I fell in love with "simple things" at first listen and I didn't with this album. But at a minimum it's a good album. I will try to pay more attention to it.

JerseyKRS deserves all the credit for putting me onto this KMD alum. But it's nice to know there's more than one fan of Doom up in here.

"Kookies" is sick, the way he flips that Sesame Street ish.

Another slept-on album that deserves to be an Indie Rock classic:

NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.
