slept on?

For how awesome Brandy's album is, I would say it is proportionately slept-on.

oh no..that queen latifah album was not good news..she would have done much better had she just released the songs she did for Living Out Loud.....like prince, i think she works best musically when in character.....

I like Van Hunt's album. I heard some pretty bad reviews on Queen Latifah's though. I saw a commercial advertising it the other day and she was butchering "mercy,Mercy" pretty bad....but I'm only goin' by the preview.

If you're played on any station.....you're mainstream. And VH1 is very mainstream.

if you mean "slept on" as in "they sucked so everyone stopped talking about them 5 minutes after their release" then you're absolutely right.

There are soooo many that I would go to sleep trying to list them all. Basically, just about anything that was released this year. An easier question would be to ask what the good albums were this year, that wouldn't take long at all.

I'd hate to pick on anyone, but consider the source. I'd hardly say those albums were slept on, The Joss Stone album didn't do well becuase people didn't want it. All music stores and VH1 pushed it quite enough! The Queen Latifah album was just a snooze but sold reasonably well, from what I say and was pushed very heavily. Yes, it didn't get a good amount of radio play but its' standards and it didn't seem like there was an obivous single. Queen Latifah can sing and well but the album was a mess. She should do a modern R&B (and a REAL R&B, not Ashitty R&B) album. That would be good!

i hear tell that the latest kd lang album was just phenomenal, but it was completely slept on.

i'd like to say that courtney love's "america's sweetheart" was a slept-on album this year, but i think it's mostly because courtney herself nodded off and slept on it herself. her crazy-ass behavior upstaged the fact that she somehow managed to put out a good album, albeit a bit on the trainwrecky side (but who'd expect - or want - anything less from her?).
