I'm so pissed off. I read threads here daily and no one ever mentions Anastacia.

Why is she so underrated?? So many talentless people "making" music out there topping the chats!!! OMG! I can't understand this


She's going to release her FOURTH single of her new cd "Anastacia", called "Heavy On My Heart". The song was co-written by her and it's about her breast cancer problem. The royalties will be for her foundation which help young women afford their treatments.

The cd is great. She went more rockish now and the songs are just great!!

The cd hasn't even been released in the States (or was it already?? )

Is there any other fans here??

well i haven't heard her album and sorry, I haven't really heard her enough to buy her album. To be honest i'm just not interested enough. Its like i've heard her type of singing before and its not different or unique. I thought she was good enough to win the Idol and deserved it, but other than that, she won't get my money just yet.

She sounds a lot like Taylor Dayne to me. I remember when she was on that show on MTV.....the one with Left-Eye as a host. It was kinda like "American Idol".

i saw her single left outside alone in the store the other day but i didnt bother because she flopped like 2 years ago when she tried @ getting big in america for the 2nd time

nah. she's got too much of a third-world pop-star vibe going on for me. can't put my finger on it. it might be the bohemian coats and the wacky rock-star sunglasses

I don't think the new CD has come out here yet (after a minor push for the last one and no success, I think Sony is just going to let her regein in Europe and release the occassional maxi here for dance fans). I dig her but I'm not willing to shill out import prices for a disc that I might not like that much considering I only sort of got into the last one.

You're offically what's wrong with the record buying public in America. She didn't do well in America, so the CD must not be any good. That is some sad shit and deserve your Usher, Destiny's Child and whatever MTV and Clear Channel tell you to buy.

I've been eyeing her since she first appeared on MTV's The Cut back in '98 (before she had a record deal -- it was like a Pre-American Idol, MTV Style with Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes as the host). I have "Freak of Nature" and her latest self-titled LP. I love them both. Her voice is sultry, thick and assured. When I listen to her songs, I feel an inner peace.
