You know, I'm starting to like Nelly ever since he released the Suit cd. I brought it because I heard it was more varied and smooth than Sweat. Anyway, Nelly looks really better at 30. So what do you think of him?

as far as his talent...well i'm the type of person who can't stand a lot of bullshit in rhymes and sorts, and for that reason i don't own any of his albums. I'll listen to his songs on the radio, but he's not good enough to get my money. It goes to Mos Def.

i think he's boring, though the take your clothes off song was kinda funky, i gotta admit. though for a while, "this is how we roll in nellyville" was one of my favorite catchphrases.

You know what's odd? The promotional strategy for his two new CDs has been kinda strange.It seems as if his label is just hastily releasing one single after another,trying to see what sticks...lol...the first single "Flap Your Wings" came and went without leaving a trace....the track "My Place" did okay on the R&B charts,but it didn't really become a smash hit...the duet with Christina Aguilera "Tilt Your Head Back" isn't half-bad,but it seems to have already faded from the airwaves without becoming a huge hit...and there's yet another single with country singer Tim McGraw(!),but I'm not sure how it's doing...lol...his label must have been really confused or something,not knowing what songs had the best hit potential,so they said "Let's just release everything",lol.

Well I listen to rap for quality lyricism mostly; so imo, Nelly really sucks. I don't like the beats he comes with either.

I honestly can't think of one Nelly song I've ever enjoyed...

That song with Tim McGraw, I think it's called Over and Over is all "over" the radio here in San Diego. I checked the charts and it's at number 6 I think but somewhere in the top 10 so it's a hit. You're right though, it seems like you can't get away from a Nelly song either. I think Nelly's alright. I brought Nellyville but I haven't heard the whole thing yet. He just know for the most part how to pick the right songs to release for singles.
