There's some weird song I heard about fishcakes. Really, it was about fishcakes. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

do you mean "fishheads" by barnes & barnes or the bauhaus song where peter murphy sings about how to make fishcakes?

Probably "Casper the homosexual friendly ghost" by Wesley Willis but really everything he did was out there.

do you mean "fishheads" by barnes & barnes or the bauhaus song where peter murphy sings about how to make fishcakes? I think it might've been the Bauhaus song. Although I will say that "Fishheads" is just as strange. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Close! Einstürzende Neubauten. Or Einstuerzende Neubauten if you don't want to use umlauts. I'm very delighted that so many industrial bands have gotten mentioned in this thread, but believe me... those mentioned are not the weirdest stuff that is out there. [Edited 12/22/04 9:21am]

Early Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle are pretty fucking strange. That's nothing yet! But if by bizarre one means silly songs one thing that springs to my mind is definitely "Just Another Onionhead / Da Da Dali" by Todd Rundgren. He did it and a bunch of others on the "Wizard A True Star" while being completely tripping on acid so go figure.
