Zapp ??? How can that be possible ? Who´s gonna replace the Troutmans ?

Yeah,I was thinking the same thing.They have been touring since the deaths of Roger and Larry Troutman,but in my opinion,there is no Zapp without Roger.

I've seen all of these acts at previous Super Oldies shows,so here's a preview of what you can expect...


The Floaters---These guys were less than spectacular.Too much between-song chatter.They only have one real hit ("Float On"),so you think they would do that one song and get off the stage,right? Nope,they came out singing songs that aren't even theirs (Luther's "Bad Boy"...Peabo's "Can You Stop The Rain").Overall,their performance was clumsy and awkward.When they come on,use this time to go grab a few beers,lol.

Evelyn "Champagne" King---Superb performance! She still looks and sounds great! She will perform "Love Come Down","I'm In Love" and "Shame",but she also throws in a few lines from other songs like "Betcha She Don't Love You".

The Intruders---very classy performance! Expect them to open their set with the uptempo "I'll Always Love My Mama",to be followed by classics like"Together","We'll Be United" and of course "Cowboys to Girls".I don't think these are the original members,but they sound so good,you won't even care.

Heatwave---get ready to stand up and dance! They open their set with "Boogie Nights",then slow things down with "Always and Forever".Finally,they deliver an extended version of "Groove Line" that will leave you delirious.

The Moments---these guys ALWAYS kick ass! I ain't kidding,they're fantastic!! You will hear "Not On The Outside","Special Lady","Look At Me I'm In Love",and a wonderful version of "Love On A Two-Way Street".Soul music at it's finest!!!

Zapp---I last saw them in 1997 when Roger was still alive.So I have no idea how they will perform without him.

Barbara Lewis----she's GREAT!! Very classy lady,with a good sense of humor too.She will sing "Hello Stranger","Baby I'm Yours" and "Make Me Your Baby".

The Manhattans---Yes,Gerald Alston is still in the group.They start off their set with "Shining Star",then follow it up with songs like "We Never Danced To A Love Song","There's No Me Without You",then they bring down the house with a sizzling version of "Kiss And Say Goodbye".Superb performance!


Surprise your lady with tickets to this show,it makes a wonderful stocking stuffer

There's another artist that will be appearing on this show.His name is Aalon,but I don't know anything about him.I did some research and it appears that he released an album 'Cream City' in 1977 on Arista Records.Finess,do you know anything about this dude?

Ahh...he sings "Rock and Roll Gangster"! I know that song
