Oldie But a Goodie

EVERYTHING MUST CHANGE
Quincy Jones

Everything must change
Nothing stays the same
Everyone will change
No one stays the same

The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
'Cause that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged

There are not many things in life
You can be sure of except
Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And humming birds do fly

Winter turns to spring
A wounded heart will heal
But never much too soon
Yes everything must change

Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And humming birds do fly
Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And music makes me cry

Everyone will change: She's changed too.
Yes everything must change: Everything must get its meaning anew.
For everything has lost its meaning since she's gone.
And music makes me cry: Music touches my wounded heart yet, I'm sure of.
So does everything.

Great song. My favorite randition is Randy Crawford's live version of it.
It still gives me chills. I don't like George Benson's verion though.
I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

no matter what version

Quincy did a hell of a number on this track and many others

i think we can all agree
that Quincy is a masterful producer, and produces pop hits like a mad man
