Xmas Music Sux!

I'm no scruge but I just don't like christmas music. It is so cheesy, so instead i'm going to listen to some snoop dogg and Marilyn Manson. Anyone else got some alternative christmas music?

Not all of it. Check out George Winston's "December" and "Linus & Lucy". They're not strictly Christmas but are great at this time of year. If they don't put you in the spirit, nothing will.

i like the charlie brown christmas album a lot. nod

i also like the kiki and herb christmas album, but i realize a holiday medley of mary j. blige's "deep inside" and tori amos' "crucify" is not everyone's cup of tea. lol

I'm just like you in that I don't like traditional Christmas music, but I love this CD:

1. (It's Gonna Be A) Punk Rock Christmas - The Ravers
2. Silent Night - The Dickies
3. Hooray For Santa Claus - Sloppy Seconds
4. Fuck Christmas - Fear
5. A Merry Jingle - The Greedies
6. There Ain't No Sanity Claus - The Damned
7. Homo Christmas - Pansy Division
8. It's Christmas - Bouquet Of Veal
9. Merry Xmas Blues - The Celibate Rifles
10. Merry Christmas (I Don't Wanna Fight Tonight) - The Ramones
11. Deck The Halls - Metal Mike, Alison & Julia
12. Feliz Navi-Nada - El Vez
13. Run, Run Rudolph - Humpers
14. Daddy Drank Our Xmas Money - TVTV$
15. Here Comes Santa's Pussy - The Frogs
16. Christmas Christmas - Mojo Nixon
17. Mr. Grinch - D.I.
18. White Christmas - Stiff Little Fingers

I think I've stated this on every xmas thread so far this month, but "Homo Christmas" by Pansy Division has to be heard. It's friggin' hilarious.

Yes, it is! I'll be the first to admit, there is a LOT of bad Christmas music. But don't write it all off when there is so much good stuff to listen to:

A Christmas Gift - Phil Spector
Christmas Portrait - The Carpenters
Christmas Is... - Percy Faith (alright, it sounds like elevator music, but it's classic elevator music)
A Christmas Together - John Denver & The Muppets
Silent Night - Mahalia Jackson
Christmas Cocktails - a great jazz/lounge compilation by Ultra Lounge
Doris Day Christmas Album - Doris Day

Granted, this is coming from somebody who loves Christmas music, but don't hate the whole genre because of the cheese put out by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Kenny G and John Tesh.

i think my favorite christmas song discoveries for this year are "here comes fattie with his bag of shit" and the christmastime parody of "bohemian rhapsody".

I love the song Mr Hankey The Christmas Poo and think it should be relegated as a classic akin to Gradma Got Runover by a Reindeer.
