MINT CONDITION!!! They are the gold standard of live R&B
Every time I watch the other people news, I see a false picture of myself, another one of u. They try 2 tell us what we want, what 2 believe. Didn't that happen in the Garden, when somebody spoke 2 Eve? But I'm willin'....

Don't have any Fiona, Jordan Knight, Jean Grae or Kelis, so I can't argue with you on that. Hated Sweetback's new joint, liked their old one. Xhane was identified, for better or worse, as a hip-hop soul outfit, but I dug their stuff too.

Otherwise, I agree with everyone on here. Nice list.

Speaking of the talented Ms. Winbush, it's a shame to me that Beyonce was the first African American woman to win the ASCAP songwriter of the year award. Not Valerie Simpson, not Angela Winbush...but the woman that brought us precious songwriting gems like Bootylicious. I like Beyonce okay but nothing she's written can compare to I'll Be Good, I Love You More or Save Your Love.

sigh

Its ALL about politics so hey shrug still love Miss Bey tho!

Far as Angie goes? LOL Sometimes I chuckle at how much talent that lady possess, she's one of the ultimate vocalists(I know folks use this term loosly nowadays but it only applys to folks like Racheal Ferrell, Angie Winbush, Minnie Riperton & Sarah Vaughan IMHO).

I saw her live last year and she pre4med "Hey Joe", I got tears from her rendition,,,,she's able to touch a sensitive nerve and thats rare.

I love the speakin' words intermission:

Hey girls, can I talk to you for a minute
I know you’ll understand
You see, I was in love with this guy
That really wasn’t worth my time of day, uh-uh
But you know when you’re in love, can’t nobody tell you nothin’
So I just kept on waiting and waiting
Hoping he’d (Fill up) All the empty spaces in my life, oh...oh...

Everybody tried to tell me ‘bout him
But you know it’s nothin’ like leadin a blind horse to a pasture
You see, they could smell the grass, but they just don’t know their way to it
, uh-uh
But girl, just when I was about ready to throw my hands and (Give up)
Real love walked in, girls
I’m talkin’ about the kind you can hold on to in the middle of the night
It seems like he turned my entire life around
And I’m through with all those old love games
And some guys messin’ around with so many girls I can’t even name
