I rarely hear people speak of this group. I liked a few of their tunes like "Who's Gettin' It Now" and "Honey Bun" -- didn't listen to anything past Friction (1982) though.

What about you? Did you like Chocolate Milk or were they spoiled to you (bad word-play, I know.) LOL.

For some reason, I'm getting the impression that Choc. Milk were a fly-by-night, lackluster '80s a la Ready For The Curl.

"Let's Go All The Way" was a fun novelty song. It was a harmless, funk-pop dance kind of track. I liked it back in the day, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it now.

Their 70s work is spectacular.They put out some killer funk jams...

"Action Speaks Louder Than Words" (1975)
"Running Away" (1976)
"Girl Callin" (1978)


But then in the early 80s,they began working with the same guy who was producing the Bar-Kays' albums.As a result,many of their early-80s singles ("Blue Jeans","Take It Off") sound a little too much like The Bar-Kays.These songs are fun and funky,but not nearly as impressive and memorable as their 70s material.
