Treat for Tammi Terrell fans Here's a nice unreleased slice of mid-60's Motown - Tammi covering Stevie Wonder's "All I Do Is Think About You", a song he finally covered himself for the Hotter Than July sessions in 1980. Somewhere in the Motown vaults is a version by Brenda Holloway.

This is making me want that whole Cellarful... collection. I just checked at the Electric Fetus (dangerous record store two blocks away from me) and they have it in stock.
I've listend to a few tracks on there, and it's definitely worth owning!

I've listend to a few tracks on there, and it's definitely worth owning! Buy it! Essential Motown. Much of the time it's even better than the stuff that got released. There's a reason AMG gave it 5 stars. Oh, and Kim Weston's "Don't Let Me Down" has got to be one of the slinkiest, sexiest Motown tracks of all. [Edited 1/1/05 13:44pm]

Speaking of coming back from the dead, when is Kate's new album due out again? [Edited 1/1/05 13:50pm]

[Edited 1/1/05 13:44pm] Yeah, I had just read AMG's review of it, and I couldn't agree more - Motown needs to STOP releasing the same stuff over and over. There's so much stuff in their catalogue worth releasing on CD - including most of Rick James' material - yet the same things keep appearing on their compilations. As much as I love Diana Ross and the Supremes (separately and collectively) there are about a bajillion releases from them on Motown.

To actually have The Supremes and The Temptations Live In Japan LP's transferred to CD is a miracle. And they're also busy remastering entire unreleased albums and live gigs. WOW!! I didn't know the song was that old. Does anyone think Tammi would have fared well as a solo singer? This post has been modified from its original thought. It has been formatted to fit into the space and run in the time allotted.
