'David Live' and 'Stage' reissues

I know this has been discussed already, but I found a blurb about the details of these releases.

from Billboard:

EMI Refurbishes Bowie's 'Live,' 'Stage'

EMI will on March 1 re-release the vintage David Bowie concert albums "David Live" and "Stage." The double-disc sets have been refurbished with new mixes, previously unreleased tracks and new liner notes by longtime Bowie producer Tony Visconti. Both will also be available in DVD-Audio format on the day of release.

"David Live" chronicles the 1974 tour in support of Bowie's "Diamond Dogs" album, specifically a five-night stand at Philadelphia's Tower Theatre. The new edition restores the original running order and tacks on the tracks "Space Oddity" and "Panic in Detroit." Also featured are unusual renditions of familiar tracks such as "The Jean Genie," "Rock'n'Roll Suicide" and "All the Young Dudes."

"Stage" is drawn from Bowie's extensive 1978 tour in the wake of the albums "Low" and "Heroes," rounding up notable tracks from those albums such as "Beauty and the Beast," "What in the World" and "Speed of Life." While the original version abandoned the live set list in favor of a chronological approach, the forthcoming "Stage" reverts back to the concert's running order. It also features previously unreleased versions of "Be My Wife" and "Stay."

The DVD-Audio editions of both albums sport a host of audio mixes plus a photo gallery.

Bowie is taking a break from the road following his successful A Reality trek, which grossed $46 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Me too. Bowie's determined to bleed me dry, but I love him for it.

Finally Stage in the original running order.
It was a stupid idea 2 put the songs in chronological
order in the first place.
I wish there were some decent recordings of the Philly soul tour
with Luther Vandross in the band.I've just heard poor quality
boots but U can hear that it must have been great 4 those
lucky fans who got 2 see that.

i love the version of stage that we're accustomed to, but purely for personal reasons. it was the gateway album to my bowie obsession - i found a copy on vinyl at my local library when i was a young'un, and it blew me away on the first listen. i look forward to the spiffy reissue next year, but hearing it the way i heard it way back in the day will always have a lot of meaning to me. nod
