Must be an alternative list because this surely is not what I would call a great list. I hated Franz Ferdinand and Brian Wilson isn't bad but christ it is like a re-make of a 30-year old album or something. I like Bjork though. Add to that list Eminem, Mos Def, Killers, Scissor Sisters and U2. Now there is a list!

i'm impressed to see nick cave on the list - it really was a fantastic album. as a fan, i love it, but it's also one i'd recommend to folks who don't know his music very well and just want to hear some good songwriting and some energetic rock music.

Great fuckin' website. I used to buy their books back in the day and the website is even better. It's got tons of useful information and I rely on their reviews more than any other source.

don't you mean All Music?

Acclaimed Music is one of the ones Ian goes to all the time.... but it is a good website. it's pretty objective. i think they compile reviews for their ratings.
