In praise of Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley

This is one of the finest jazz collaborations I can think of. What a superb album.

Harlepolis

I remember me & you rappin' about this album months earlier smile nod

I'm still trying to listen to Nancy 'fully' without thinking of the Dinah Washington bandwagon.

One great thing about that album tho, it made me go back and buy this sucka:

I have 3 FAVE live tops:

Donny's Live
Billie Holiday's Carnegie Hall at 1956
And this one

We did discuss this, and I get you on NW and Dinah, who was fantastic in her own right. Yet this album is a near-perfect jazz collabo.

Yes indeed. I passed up "M,M,M" to get "Know What I Mean?" with Bill Evans (extraordinary record). I'll add it to my wishlist rhet na!
