Sly's Collaborations with the Funk Mob: Any Good?

I know that Sly toured with and co-wrote a few songs on the later Funkadelic albums (and on some others I believe). My question is, are any of these worth looking into or are they just the kind of disappointing gimmicks that collaborations sometimes are.

The early 80's was a pretty low period 4 Sly
cuz of all the drugproblems.
Not the most creative period in his career.
U can hear Sly's voice a little bit in the background of
Funkadelic's Electric spanking of war babies from '81
but that's about it.
He went on the road with them but missed out so many shows,
I've never seen any footage of him with them.

Sly is featured on George Clinton's Family Series.

Who in the Funk? is a choice song. He is also on Urban Dancefloor Guerillas by the P-Funk AllStars.

And is featured on a cut called Go For Your Funk that features James Brown, Bootsy, Sly and Clinton. You can find it as a bootleg or a cut version on the Family Series.

He is also on Catch A Keeper with the Brides of Funkenstein. Also on the P-Funk spinoff Godmomma produced by Bootsy. MOst of this stuff is hard to find.

oh yes, that awsome demo version of "who in the funk".
That is so much better than the finished overproduced version
that ended up on his last album "Ain't but the one way" 1982.

Can you actually hear James Brown on 'Go For Your Funk'? I read that he is inaudible on the track, leading to suspicions that he never took part in the recording. I'd love to know if this is a true JB/ P-Funk collab or not.
