i just heard a parody of queen's "bohemian rhapsody" that had all the lyrics rewritten to be about christmas...not only is it incredibly silly, but they did a really great job with the music. i think it's my favorite 'new' christmas song, at least for this year. it's silly without being completely obnoxious.

Good song. I like Stevie's. I do too, but something about the boys singing it gets to me. The hopeful sounds of young kids singing, "Someday at Christmas men will not have failed; hate will be gone and love will prevail" gets me every time. The Normal Whores Club

And how far back are we going? I dunno - I love a lot of these tracks others are mentioning, I just don't know what would be considered modern? Cuz if the 60s are modern, then the greatest Christmas album of all time would be on there: A Christmas Gift for You by Phil Spector

Treacherous Three "Santa Rap" (1984) Run-D.M.C. "Christmas In Hollis" (1987) Outkast "Player's Ball" (1993)

I guess that "modern" would be from late 50's-early 60's to the present. Post "White Christmas"/"Rudolph" if you will. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
