Make a Christmas wish for an artist....

Ashlee Simpson-- The correct order of songs she'll be lip-synching
Usher--a copy of Bobby Brown's autobiography, "I Too Was The Kang of R&B"
Michelle from Destiny's Child--a pair of 1 inch pumps with training wheels
Prince-- The other 6 inches of his suit jackets
Michael Jackson--an acquittal or a conviction--one or the other, sheesh.
R. Kelly-- a videotape with someone old enough to vote

feel free to add on... smile

Janet Jackson -- please make a good album (and i don't mean with Jermaine Dupri) pray
Madonna -- knock 'em dead pray oh, and divorce that cipher pray
Prince -- keep it rolling. don't throw away the opportunity with your next release. keep doing the same thing, and THEN start pulling the bullshit (i know you will inevitably, but you've got your foot in the door. don't blow it so soon.) pray
Michael Jackson -- hope everything turns out for the best, but hopefully justice will be served, however it turns out. pray
Mercury Rev -- with the recent buzz over the Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse, i hope your new album gets some exposure pray
Whitney Houston -- more singing, less smoking pray
Bowie -- heartattack shmeartattack, get your ass in the studio and record an album since you're on a break. we're approaching the 1.5 year mark, and you've spoiled me with releasing the last 2 so close together pray
Britney -- come back! we miss you! pray
Ashlee/Hillary/Lindsay -- go away! we hate you! pray

Mos Def -- a real hip-hop album ("T.N.D. is interesting and good but far less than what you can really do)

Talib Kweli -- New producers and some Richard Pryor records to help you not take yourself so seriously.

Common -- a slammin' new album after a near-miss with "Electric Circus"

Digable Planets -- a stellar reunion (if it happens)

Beck -- a timely new album

Jamiroquai -- Stuart Zender's return

Me'Shell Ndegeocello -- the release of her promised Verve album

Prince -- that Blue Note album

Madonna -- grace to step out of the limelight and retire with class

Madlib -- another classic like "Madvillainy"

Hip-Hop -- a fan base that gets tired of the neo-minstrelsy, absurd materialism and co-opting by pop and "R&B" artists so that you can get back to inspiring the fans who truly love you.

Dear Santa Claus

I want the rock album REM promised their fans on this last go-around.
I want the following back catalogs remastered: Prince, U2, Talking Heads, and the Beatles.
I want a new album from Prince; I know it was less than a year since Musicology, but I'm impatient.
I want a stadium tour from U2.
I want Sign 'o' the Times, Zoo TV, and Under a Blood Red Sky on DVD.
I want solid albums from Janet Jackson, Madonna, and George Michael.

Thanks,

I would gladly sacrifice a new Prince album for some remasters and the legit Universal remastered SOTT DVD

She was interviewed a little while ago and said there's not a chance of her doing a tour but that she'd love to make an album with them again. That's good enough for me. smile
