Easily one of Madonna's worst songs and so unmemorable, it's not worthy of a thread. In fact, consider yourself reported to the moderators for this.

Well, it's not quite as as some of the navel-gazing songs on American Life, but it's easily the worst song of her early pop era (other than 'Ain't No Big Deal').

yeah, i've always been curious as to wtf they were thinking when they thought "spotlight" wasn't strong enough to make the album, but "jimmy jimmy" and "love makes the world go round" were.

THis song is far superiour to the WORST MADONNA SONG EVER RELEASED....

The some of the prasing in there isn't bad (I like she sings, with some convinction "Make love, not war, they say"). Better than "Jimmy, Jimmy" but not by much. Jimmy Jimmy is tolerable and same with LMTWGR. I can't believe people just deam it horrid. It's just a rather boring pop song.

as bad as Jimmy Jimmy is, it isn't her worst. neither is Love Makes The World Go Round. they're mindless, crappy pop songs buried on the back end of an album. her absolute worst has to be One More Chance. it's trying so hard to be good. and it just sucks. awful lyrics, boring tune, bad vocals, and Madonna was not meant to be accompanied solely by an acoustic guitar



(and yes, in regard to that last point, i realize there's I Deserve It and X-static Process, but i'm not in love with them either, although they salvage themselves by being decent songs decently sung)

Dress You Up, though it was a single, is horrible. Ain't Not Big Deal is bad. Really bad. And I agree with GrayKing re One More Chance (especially when you consider that that song came out of a really good time in Madonna's career, musically speaking, so I wonder what the heck went wrong there?). That said, Jimmy Jimmy is still worse than all of those. By far.

I think its inclusion on the album was merely due to the fact that it has a 50s-ish vibe and that was kind of a theme of hers then.

My favorite Madonna albums would be Erotica, Ray Of Light and American Life.
