Ryan Adams song "Hotel Chelsea Nights" Aka Purple Rain! Is it just me or does this song sound a lot like

I have never, ever seen any link between him and Prince in any way apart from both being great musical-minds and songwriters, but very very differently.  | |

I've also got a lot of his work and I must have heard "HCN" about 50 times
now and I never noticed any resemblance to Purple Rain at all.  and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
