I just saw Ashanti's new video the other day; Only U and IMO she is TOTALLY biting off of Beyonce.

FIRST - her new "look" is VERY similar to Beyonce's. Take a look at the cover of her soon-to-be-released CD "Concrete Rose" and you'll agree.

SECOND - the song has a heavy "guitar" riff, and in the video, there's a guy playing guitar that appears off-and-on (so you can't really get a good look at him until the very end) but he looks like Prince. Not knowing anything about the song, I had to watch the whole damned thing to confirm (at the end) that it ISN'T Prince (...or at least I don't THINK it is...).

So - the Beyonce looks and the "Prince-ly cameo" - is Ashanti trying to be like Beyonce or what?

I'm looking forward to hearing the duet with 7 Aurelius, but I really don't want to buy the album just for that! I wish 7 would hurry and release his debut album

Ashanti has absolutely no personality whatsover.Her songs are bland and boring.She has nothing to say in her songs..."only you can make me feel good" blah blah blah.Some message,huh?

This is part of the problem with today's R&B.The so-called "artists" have completely run out of ideas,so they're just writing cliche lyrics about desiring somebody,as if that's an earth-shaking discovery...lol...

Ashanti sure does bite. The big one.

Pop music is always about love. Its the sound I care about. Mid tempo sucks.....children grow up litening to fucking mellow crap that makes u go zzzzz!

I thought Christina Milian's "Dip It Low" was a Beyonce rip-off....but that's just me. I think Beyonce owes some of her style sense to Tina's look from the 60's/70's.

I thought u meant the biting of "Why You Treat Me So Bad" by Club Noveau for the beginning.

I thought that was 7 on the guitar trying to look like Andre and Ashanti trying to be Beyonce..but Ashanti cant dance worth a dime.
