Heard her song on MTV2 yesterday - took a while for me to warm up to her because the video is absolute crap - but by the end of the song I was hooked. This is definitely on my "to get" list.

You know,I've been hearing alot of "buzz" about this young lady, and I was tempted to buy her CD the other day.It was only $8.99 at Tower Records.I heard her voice on the latest CD by Charlie Hunter, and I am impressed. She is somebody to keep an eye on.

I love the video. Its gritty. Not polished up like most. I like the fact that she is not in a halter top and hip huggers grabbing her breasts and licking her lips. It showcases her talent. Her beauty is secondary in the video. And she is BEAUTIFUL. Perhaps the most beautiful woman in music today. She looks right in the camera and her eyes are intoxicating. I heard that she is related to Ravi Shankar (sp?). Can anyone shed some light on this?

she's got talent..
& she's BEAUTIFUL I was surprised to learn that she's Ravi Shankar's daughter (I can see a little resemblance) she's gonna be coming thru the DC area in June.. I want to see her when she comes, either then or maybe when she goes thru Philadelphia What I think I like most about her, is that she's like the TOTAL OPPOSITE of all these photogenic, MTV-ready, pumped up, halfway-talented females.. I hope MTV doesn't "ruin" her.. I'll see you tonight..

I've been hearing buzz too, and have been sleeping on her... saw her video on BET and had to do a double take. Very nice!
BTW great sig, Jagjams... I'm def feeling RES's album too. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32

She was on Letterman last night. Acoustic bass, drummer and acoustic guitar. Nice voice. She sang and played piano. She was tight; real tight. I'm gonna cop her stuff test

I saw her on Letterman last night, too, & I also think she did well. I think she could use
a little more stage presence.. I would've missed her on Letterman had I not gotten the head-up email from her website (I'm subscribed to get updates & whatnot.) Now that I've seen her on tv, I do want to try to see her live next month. to see how good she really is.. I'll see you tonight..

Didn't see the Letterman performance, but u know the fruit is "melt in your mouth" when u're impressed with those crappy one-minute samples on CDNOW! REAL music. Left me wanting ...
