I absolutely LOVE it!!

I met Harry J. Lennix (tall light-skinned dude) about 11 mos ago at a cozy lil' restaurant on the Northside of Chi called Moody's. It was cool as hell, cause when my bf (at the time) and I were preparing to leave, we saw him and some female sitting at a table, almost directly behind ours!!!!! I did'nt realize that till I was halfway out the door! Of course, I ran back, approached his table and spoke to him. He was SOOOOO polite!!!!! He even shook my hand!!!! We spoke for a few minutes and said goodbye. I was so high at that moment, my bf had to carry me to the train.

A friend of mine (Gregory "Popeye" Alexander) was one of The Midnight Falcons.
Robert Townsend also used him in Hollywood Shuffle.

Bird & the Midnight Falcons!!!

A criminally underappreciated film. A bit syrupy at times but great nonetheless.

Robert Townsend specializes in syrupy. I watched his television show (mainly for the hot daughter) but it was a little too preachy at times. He's like the Michael Medved of sitcoms.

this is another movie me and my sisters memorized the parts to.

I love this movie and I just bought the soundtrack a few months ago!

I love this movie...anything with "Leon" always has my undivided attention

love the five heartbeats, must have seen it a billion times. my fav. character is eddie cuz he was funny as hell. so was bird singing that song for 20 years. tanya was a straight up hoe.

Great movie, great music. I saw an advance screening of the movie years ago and met the cast when the movie ended. I got to hug Robert Townsend!
