Lost Old school record Battle of tha day...

Ralph Carter's when you're young and in love

Vs.
The Fantastic Four's when you're young and in love

both from 1974 one's a disco version ( ralph's on Mercury) and one's a Ballad ( the Fantastic four's on RCA) Testify if u know these and which one is better to your ears..

I saw Ralph Carter's version on a 12 Inch compilation. I believe it might have been Atlantic Records. I started to get it. When I came back it was gone.

I saw the episode of "Good Times". I have it on DVD also. Does the record sound the same as the song on the TV?

Van McCoy tune, right? Question---Stacey Lattisaw put out an album a few years before "Let Me Be Your Angel", and it sank without a trace-- didn't she do a version of this tune, too? Is it the same one? If so, I think that's the only version I actually heard...

Ah, you're bringing back memories...

I've only heard Ralph's version. It's cool as far as sitcom actors go. It's a bit "flamboyant", though...

Remember when he sang "You and I" at Thelma's wedding?

Oh yeah, who can forget "Rock you to your socks"!

There you go! I knew he sang another song on GT! What was the song Michael and Penny sang for the talent show episode?

Oh, and the "militant midget" was a bit "flamboyant" too. razz

Ralph Carter was nominated for a Tony Award and won the Theatre World Award
for his performance in the Broadway production of Raisin in 1974.

Remember how the credits at the end of Good Times mentioned this: "Ralph Carter appears courteousy of "Raisin", or something to that effect.
